Midsummer Day Dream in Thailand

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] had never been to South East Asia before and had to choose whether to go to Bali or to Thailand. My friend Alesha Voronin proposed to go to Bangkok and make a photo shoot with beautiful girls wearing interesting clothes – my choice was easy.

With my heavy Pentax 6* and 10 meters of film I hit the road.

Upon arrival, leaving the airport’s coolness, I suddenly felt a wave of hot air and a million unusual scents – it all seemed like a huge exotic aquarium. I was sure this would be an interesting trip!

I’ve never seen a city like Bangkok before! It’s full of surprises: each corner reveales something new and unexpected. The local people are fantastic – they made contact with great pleasure, posed for me and bowed to thank me for my interest.

There was no need for a specific concept in this photo-shoot nor have we used additional light – we simply met, dressed up in original clothes (designed by one of our models) and went for a walk around the city with my camera and reflector. All of the shots in this session are spontaneous and full of live just like Bangkok itself and its inhabitants.
